My story

(some of it)

The first thing you should know about me is that I am going to use humor! If I could prescribe laughter, I would. Another thing you can expect is that I will ask you if you go for walks. I believe that moving your body can have positive effects on your mind.

Staying physically healthy and active has been an important part of my life since high school, and became even more so when I was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes in 2002; so I obtained my personal training certificate in 2022 after more than 14 years of wanting to do so.

My psychotherapy journey was a late-blooming one as well. I was 31 years old when I went back to graduate school for social work, after having worked as an administrative assistant and accountant in a few long term jobs and many temp jobs over the course of almost15 years.

Each of these gigs on their own would’ve sufficed, but I feel so lucky to be able to combine the two and be doing a job I truly enjoy.
